July 4th is just a few weeks away and the schedule is jam packed with fun ways to celebrate in Chautauqua & Lake Erie NY! We've compiled a list of events below to help make sure you get the most from your visit to Chautauqua County in Western New York.
Fireworks & More
Cherry Creek’s annual Independence Day Celebration is Saturday, June 27th. The celebration will feature a parade, craft and food vendors, cruise-in, chicken BBQ, music, fireworks, and more. Parade begins at 12 p.m. Fireworks at 10 p.m.
The Jamestown Tarp Skunks baseball team plays the Olean Oilers on Friday, July 3rd at 7 p.m. It’s Fireworks Night presented by Jamestown Mattress Co.
The annual Silver Creek Fourth of July Fireworks and Music event is Friday, July 3. Second Time Around Band plays at Borrello Park on Front Street. Fireworks to follow.
The Dunkirk Fourth of July Celebration will be three days of fun from July 2-4 with live music, vendors, and more. Fireworks display on July 4 at 9:30 p.m.
Fourth of July in Findley Lake features all-day fun for the whole family on July 4th with a duck race, boat parade, flare lighting and fireworks. Flares will be put around the lake and lit before the fireworks at 10 p.m.
Bemus Point’s 4th of July Fireworks Show will take place on July 4th at 10 p.m. from barges in Bemus Bay. The display will be visible from the Village Park, Lakeside Drive, and all around the Village of Bemus Point. In honor of America's 250th anniversary, Bemus Point and Mayville are collaborating on a lake-wide celebration featuring 25-minute fireworks shows in both communities synchronized to patriotic music played over the radio on Kix Country 96.5 & 100.3. Both Bemus Point and Mayville are working to pipe the synchronized music into public viewing areas so visitors can experience the soundtrack together throughout the communities.
The Lakewood July 4th Summerfest and Fireworks starts off with the annual Firecracker Run. Vendors will be open on Chautauqua Avenue with live music in the park followed by the fireworks show at dusk.
Mayville's 4th of July Celebration will kick off with their grand parade down Route 394 starting at 10 a.m. followed by live music, food, games and more at Lakeside Park. Their annual fireworks display will take place at 10 p.m.

Chautauqua Institution’s expansive event schedule includes the annual Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra’s Independence Day Celebration on July 4th at 8 p.m. in the Amphitheater.
Flares And Boats Around Cassadaga Lakes will light up Cassadaga Lakes on July 4th at 9:30 p.m.
Light the Lake on Chautauqua Lake is one of the most cherished summer traditions on Independence Day. At 10pm, visitors and residents alike will line the over 40 mile shoreline with flares.
Spend 4th of July at the races! Stateline Speedway is hosting their America 250: RUSH Lake Model Touring Series. Head to the track early for BBQ and live music starting at 1pm. Race starts at 7pm. Fireworks to follow!

From July 3-5, The Heron draws thousands of fans from across the U.S. and features Americana music at a magical campground in the hills of western NY.
