SUNY Fredonia Young Artists Recital at Fredonia Opera House

The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center will present a special free-admission recital featuring some of the most talented young students from the State University of New York at Fredonia’s School of Music on Thur., Sept. 24, at 5:30 p.m.

Presented in partnership with School of Music Faculty Members Dr. Eliran Avni, and Dr. Natasha Farny, the performance is part of a concert initiative created to provide students the opportunity to perform in a variety of settings and to a broader audience. The event also serves to strengthen the collaborative relationship between the Opera House and the School of Music. The recitals feature both solo and ensemble performances, both instrumental and vocal.
Concerts are 60 minutes long and provide an opportunity to hear some of our area’s incredible emerging artists. Pieces to be performed in this concert include works by Haydn, Schubert, Margaret Bonds, Alexander Scriabin, Enrique Granados, and Edvard Grieg, among others. Admission is free, although donations are gratefully accepted and applied toward piano tuning costs.

Opera House programming is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and by the United Arts Appeal of Chautauqua County.
