Animal have different things covering their body to help them survive. They might have fur to keep them warm in the winter, shells to protect them from predators, or feathers to help them fly. Join Audubon to explore and compare some of the coverings animals have on the outside of their bodies and learn how each adaptation helps different animals find food and survive predators or the climate.

Begin inside with a hands-on exploration of different animal coverings such as fur, feathers, and shells. Visit some of Audubon’s animal ambassadors to figure out how their coverings help them survive, and then head outside to look for animals in the wild.

A snack is provided after the hike and a craft is offered if there is time.

Special Information: This program takes place rain or shine, please dress for the weather.
