"-Reverence-My bird paintings are a tether between the natural world, and human emotion. Each piece represents a moment in time along the plot of a story both untold, and well known. Determinism, bravery, wisdom, strength, beauty, and joy are among the traits portrayed in these anthropomorphic characters. They are reflections of ourselves, displaying traits and lessons that we can admire and live up to. They represent a reminder that clarity can come from the smallest of moments, and that we are all connected to nature in an ancient way. These bird portraits explore what it means to be truly human, through the lens of ornithological illustrations."
