Celebrate the beauty of autumn with a fun and interactive adventure into the world of native plant seeds! Discover the secrets of identifying and collecting native seeds, explore the fascinating journey from seed to thriving habitat, and learn how native plants support pollinators, wildlife, and healthy ecosystems. Through hands-on learning and outdoor exploration, you'll gain practical knowledge to bring more native beauty to your own backyard.
This engaging workshop will be led by Jon and Jess Townsend, owners and growers of Royal Fern Nursery, along with Carol Markham, Conservationist at Everwild Land Trust, who will share their expertise and passion for native plants and local conservation.
James Prendergast Library's Curiosity Club is a multi-week series that explores a different topic each session. Designed to foster community connections, the program provides patrons with opportunities to learn more about themselves, gain insight into others’ experiences, and discover valuable community resources. Through discussion, exploration, and shared learning, participants build knowledge while strengthening their sense of connection and belonging within the community.
