The Quintessential Learning Vacation Destination

For nine weeks each summer Chautauqua Institution comes alive with learning opportunties for all ages and interests from arts and education to religion and recreation.  Each day is filled with activity from morning lectures and daily classes to evening performances and camp activities for youth.  Often described by a number of its programs - music festival, summer camp, summer school, golf and sailing center, lecture series - Chautauqua is a bundle of all these unique experiences wrapped into one destination for the whole extended family to enjoy.

Under the direction of Class A LPGA Teaching Professional Suellen Northrop, the Chautauqua Golf Learning Center offers a series of one day clinics, weekly golf classes, and longer golf "camps," designed  to serve golfers of all ages and skill levels.  Season: April 1 - Nov 1, weather permitting.

The Chautauqua Institution's 55+ programs, founded in 1974, are an important component of the Chautauqua experience.  Programs are offered both on and off-season and each presents a topic through lecture, discussion, films or other appropriate means.

Boy's & Girls Club, The Children's School, Group One and Playscape. The Boys' and Girls' Club is considered the oldest day camp in the United States. With most buildings dating from the 1890s and the turn of the century, the Boys' and Girls' Club grows out of a Chautauqua tradition of excellence in sports and physical education.

Chautauqua Sailing School
