Is Bemus Point family-friendly?

Bemus Point is a great destination for families with numerous fun activities on land and water.

  • Let the kids stretch their legs at Bemus Point Lakeside Park, home to a playground, picnic tables, grills, a basketball court, tennis and pickleball courts, with a public dock provided for shore fishing or taking in the view.
  • Get out on the water and take a trip back in time -- and across Chautauqua Lake -- on the Bemus Point-Stow Ferry
  • You can also enjoy Chautauqua Lake by renting a boat or launching your own.
  • Grab a bite to eat and an ice cream cone, and explore several locally owned shops.
  • Visit the Lawson Center Boat Museum and try children's activities including a 1940s race boat simulator, taking the helm of a cruiser, playing captain and crew of a real cat boat, a Junior Mate puzzle book and scavenger hunt, building a balloon-powered boat, and more.
  • Take a brief drive north of the village to Long Point State Park -- which features a beach, trails, playgrounds and more -- and Midway State Park, one of the oldest continually operating amusement parks in the nation.
