Harris Hill State Forest
Harris Hill State Forest

Visitors enjoy Harris Hill State Forest's 2,271 acres for a variety of recreational activities, including cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and hunting.

The Earl Cardot Eastside Overland Trail runs through the forest. Hiking, biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are allowed on the trail.

The Eastside Overland Trail welcomes biking, and there are also 13 miles of purpose-built trails for mountain biking in Harris Hill State Forest.

Horseback riding is allowed in the state forest, but there are no designated trails. Horses are not allowed on the Earl Cardot Eastside Overland Trail.

There is also a good mix of songbirds in Harris Hill State Forest, especially near heavily harvested areas where there is thick seedling-sapling cover.
