Chautauqua County Visitors Bureau

The mission of the Chautauqua County Visitors Bureau is to support Chautauqua County businesses and the local economy by marketing to, attracting, and serving visitors to our county.

Member Benefits

  • All CCVB members are listed on the official tourism website A description and a photo of your business is included with your listing as well as a link to your website and/or email address.
  • All CCVB members are listed on our Chautauqua County App and on the I Love NY website.
  • In promoting Chautauqua County as a tourist destination through CCVB's advertising and public relations campaigns, your business will benefit from the influx of new revenue generated from tourism.
  • Accommodation members are listed in the Chautauqua County Accommodations Directory which is included with a Travel Guide in travel packets for mail out to visitors. 
  • Accommodation members are able to feature vacation and getaway packages on  Contact the CCVB office at 716-357-4569 for information.
  • CCVB is your liaison for tourism industry issues with local, regional, state and federal agencies, organizations and officials.
  • CCVB will link to special deal/offer information provided by members.
  • All Members receive CCVB's quarterly newsletter which highlights important industry issues, events, news, and promotional opportunities.
  • Member brochures are placed at the Chautauqua Main Gate Welcome Center at Chautauqua Institution, accessible to over 150,000 visitors annually.

Fee Based Services for Members

CCVB provides additional services on a fee basis. Membership is a requirement to take part in some programs as indicated in the individual description below.

  • Feature your ad on View 2017 advertising rate information and advertising contract. (fillable form with Adobe Reader XI -download here.) Or, call Connee Brown/Joanna Dahlbeck at 716-357-4569.
  • Travel Show Brochure Distribution - CCVB attends a number of travel shows and fairs each year, in Buffalo, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Erie, etc., and takes along participating member's brochures to display to thousands of potential visitors. Cost is $100 annually. View participation form.
  • I-86 Chautauqua Lake Rest Area - Display your brochure or rack card at the new rest area. More than 200,000 travelers stop at the scenic area and 40,000-50,000 pick up information about things to do, places to eat, and lodging. Cost is $50-80 annually. View participation form.

Additional Services

  • Advertising - Your business is welcome to participate in cooperative advertising programs that reach target groups of visitors and potential visitors to Chautauqua County.
  • "I Love New York" Chautauqua County Travel Guide - Each year the Travel Guide is sent to the thousands of visitor inquiries we receive, distributed at Travel Shows, throughout brochure rack networks, and at AAA and Chamber offices in the region. It is a full color magazine and map devoted to the activities and businesses in Chautauqua County that interest visitors. In 2010, more than 200,000 Travel Guides will be distributed.   • Public Relations/Press Releases - News about your business, group or organization that would interest the traveling public is important to us. We provide PR in the form of calendar listings, press releases, story inquiries, media relations and media list compilation to get news in front of media. If you have news or special events, be sure to send us the information as far in advance as possible and we will include it where appropriate in our news mailings. Email Stephanie Burdo
  • Calendar of Events - CCVB gathers and compiles event information for promotion through our website, our travel guide, and through regional media. Submit your event to Joanna Dahlbeck.
  • Group and Event Marketing--CCVB provides itinerary suggestion to several types of group function planners, including motor coach tours. For information contact Connee Brown or call 716-357-4569
